My name is Kurt Ankeny, a painter and cartoonist operating a studio in Salem, Massachusetts.
I have taught intensive advanced workshops and absolute beginners and I would love to have the opportunity to help you develop your skills and love of art!
My studio is small, and can only accommodate five students per class. Therefore, you will get plenty of one-on-one guidance, as well as a chance to make friends with your fellow students as you learn together.
I teach mainly by guiding you from where you are. If you are a beginner, I can construct a plan for you to learn the basics and gain experience in the studio. If you are more advanced, I can act as your second set of eyes and help you finesse your skills to the next level. If you’re unsure of where you fit in, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Kurt Ankeny Studio is located at 53 Mason Street, Suite 206, Salem, MA 01970. It is approximately a 10-15 minute walk west of the Salem Commuter Rail Station, and has plenty of on-site parking.
